Getting Fit: Update

So, right after my last post my life got completely taken over by a deal.  Needless to say, working out did NOT happen.  I also gained about 3 additional pounds seemingly due to a mix of Claritin D and Flonase.  I know, I know.  It's not an "official" reaction but I swear that I was working out 2x a day and NOTHING was fitting.  I stopped taking the drugs (and switched to regular Claritin) and within a week miraculously everything fit.  Go figure.

This week, I weighed myself and I was below 130!  It was so good to see that number again.  That being said, I weighed myself today and it was 131 again, but we'll just ignore that and blame it on weighing myself at the end of the day. ;)  Despite the pounds not falling off, I have changed my body.  On May 9, I took some measurements using one of those handy self-measuring tapes.  If you want some motivation, definitely break one of those out.  After taking my measurements today, I feel much better about the lack of progress with weight; however, I'm a little surprised about the increase in my lower body.  I'll just say it's all muscle. ;)

May 9 --> May 25

Waist: 27.3" --> 26.3"
Hips: 38.8" --> 37.8"
Chest: 35.4" --> 34.5"
Thighs: 21.5" --> 23.3"
Calves: 14.1" --> 14.3"
Biceps: 10.4" --> 10.5"

I also ran 25 minutes straight mostly around a 10-minute mile.  I also had my heartrate up around 170-ish for most of the time.  Lesson I learned: That's too high! I'm so wiped out now!

Anyway, I thought folks might be curious to see what my workout routine the last 8 weeks has looked like.
