Sunday Run: Tennessee Edition

Despite being out of town the last two weekends, I've managed to stick to my Sunday run schedule. (Go me!).  That means 3 miles last Sunday (June  26) in Cambridge with the hubby and 3.5 miles this past Sunday (July 3) in Chattanooga, TN without the hubby since he was busy with wedding party festivities.

I've decided to start taking photos whenever I run outside of NYC (you guys have seen enough at this point, I'm sure).  I mean, why not?  Anyway, it was HOT in Chattanooga.  The humidity was insane, but I stuck it out.  And, surprisingly enough, I couldn't find anyone to run with me... go figure. :)

My run path took me to Riverpark, which was a paved trail along the river and through a marsh.  Yes, it was much hotter along the marsh.  Had I realized it was paved, I may have chosen a more wooded path.  At any rate, it was a nice run and a great way to start my day.  The obligatory photo:

Such a change from Manhattan!  More of the 4th of July weekend later.  I will say that running 3.5 miles and then getting my dance on at the wedding made for some REALLY sore shins and tired Meaghan on Monday.  Let's just say it's Tuesday and I'm practicing the yogic concept of "listening to my body" and not working out today.  In fact, it's 8pm and I'm heading to bed soon.
