Trip Down Memory Lane

This past weekend, in addition to running in Chattanooga and seeing our two close friends get married (post coming), Erik and I revisited our favorite brunch place in Atlanta -- The Flying Biscuit.  I don't think I've been back to the Midtown location since Erik and I were in Atlanta for a wedding in June 2007.  Here's a photo from that visit:

First thought when looking at the photo: Whoa, Meaghan.... You were a little chunky!  That's a true statement, however, I did not have the cellulite problem I have now.  Not fair!  Also, Erik and I look much less sleep-deprived that we do now.

Anyway, so we decided since we were driving up to Chattanooga from Atlanta, we should stop by the Biscuit and have our favorite breakfasts.  Well!  I'll just say that it did NOT live up to my memories.  Maybe I've just become spoiled by the fabulousness that is brunch in NYC but seriously.  We waited for our mimosas for almost half our meal because they were out of glasses!  My eggs were not fully cooked (I ordered over medium), and I wasn't able to tell the server because she never checked on us!  There were flying bugs that we were batting away the whole time and a homeless man yelling at customers from the outside.  I could not wait to get out of there.

Lesson: Sometimes fond memories from college and just beyond are best left there!

Photo taken this time (of wall since there was no server to take one of us!):
