Chelsea Hotel: Update

Earlier, I blogged about my adventures in Chelsea and specifically about the Chelsea Hotel.  Well, it's a good thing I went in and saw the lobby when I did because it closed this past weekend!  Wha?!  From what I could gather from the online communities of the NY Times and the Gothamist, the building has been sold.  This affects the hotel guests but not the building's permanent tenants.  However, according to the Gothamist, they haven't been told what's going on either. Ah, NYC.
